As a designer, I’m always searching for partners who push the boundaries of innovation. That’s why, time and again, my projects feature Clei: a company that has spent over 60 years leading the charge in transformable furniture. They don’t just build furniture; they invest in research and development to deliver solutions that are a perfect blend of ingenuity, safety, and effortless use.
Two Scenarios Under the Parisian Sky
This year, for the prestigious Salone del Mobile (Furniture Fair), I had the pleasure of curating the styling for the Clei stand. We envisioned two distinct living scenarios, united by a single, powerful philosophy: furnishing with integrated transformability.
These two vignettes, while different in size and function, demonstrated how Clay’s approach can solve the most pressing challenges of modern urban living.
Scenario 1: The 27m² Micro-Living Marvel
Can you truly live completely, comfortably, and organized in a space as small as 27 square meters? Clei shows us the answer is a resounding yes.
The first setting was a dedicated micro-living space. This exhibit was designed to prove that size is irrelevant when design is smart.
Every single piece of furniture here is a masterpiece of spatial optimization. From integrated storage to multi-purpose modules, the design ensures a fluid and comfortable living experience.
The takeaway? You never have to sacrifice style or function, even when dealing with the tightest footprints.
Scenario 2: The Dynamic Multi-Functional Room
The second setting addressed the need for flexibility in today’s hybrid world. This multi-functional room is built to seamlessly adapt to the rhythm of the day—and the rhythm of life.
Imagine a space that effortlessly transforms:
- In the morning, it’s a focused home office or study.
- In the afternoon, it becomes a cozy relaxation area.
- In the evening, it elegantly converts into a comfortable guest room.
This dynamic transformation allows the space to respond to diverse needs while consistently maintaining an air of comfort and elegance. The room doesn’t just change; it adapts beautifully.
